Review
It was nice to play a new game for once.
We Start with relationship drama right off the bat, which put me off a tiny bit. AFTER the drama, which seemed oddly dragged out, we do jump right into the action. There were a few cutscene moments that felt like they should have been more interactive with QTE's or something.
The story itself was interesting for the most part.
I legit thought they had landed either in different times or parallel dimensions or something for most of the game. I did cry pretty hard when she found him, though. Also, Ariane was actually pretty annoying. Like, the majority of the time.
The last few chapters felt like they went on much longer than was necessary.
I didn't like the ambiguity of the ending.
As for the controls, yes, they were a bit clunky. Some of it you get used to, but the reach mechanic while climbing was really fitzy, particularly when reaching for a jump.
Overall I enjoyed it, but I highly doubt I will be playing it again.
Would I Recommend?
Yes, as long as you have a little patience. It's nice to get a new scifi game, particularly one that looks so nice. Lots of exploring, if that takes your fancy. Not quite open world levels, but not too much on a track.
